Stairwell access has long been a problem in both social and private housing. Traditional methods using boards and step ladders have resulted in many accidents and has become a focal point for concern by Health & Safety professionals throughout the UK.
Easi-Dec have the solution with the Walk-Thru MkII Stairwell Access Platform.
Our Walk-Thru Stairwell Access Platform is the result of extensive development work by our design team and greets most of the access problems with a simple effective solution.
As it’s name indicates the Easi-Dec Walk-Thru Stairwell Platform allows access to the above floor without dismantling. This is achieved by simply rolling back the aluminium slatted decking as required.

Operational Description
With so few components ‘Walk-Thru’ can be assembled ‘in-situ’ by one person. The main (walk-through) frame is placed either at the foot of the stairs or several steps up (depending on the design of the ceiling above) and both horizontal beams are attached by pins. The height is adjusted by extending the frame and locking with pins.
The two horizontal supports are also adjusted by adding or subtracting further sections to suit the reach required.
Finally, the handrail is dropped into the sockets either side of the decking where (or if) necessary.
Final level adjustment can be made at either end of the decking using the pins provided.
Total assembly time is less than 10 minutes.
Walk-Thru will also access most turns if required.
